根據彭博社6月3日報道稱，據馬來西亞農業部表示，近日中國已經批準進口馬來西亞的冷凍全榴蓮。而在此前，馬來西亞只對華出口了一些榴蓮果肉和果泥。如今整個冷凍榴蓮的出口將會進一步為該國農民擴大市場，并增加他們的收入。
據悉，在過去近十年里，中國進口的鮮榴蓮貨值年均增長約26%，每年大約需要進口30萬公頃的榴蓮。而馬來西亞每年約生產30噸的榴蓮，其中質量上乘的貓山王占了總量23%。但馬來西亞每年僅向中國運送17000噸的榴蓮，只占到其年產量的5.8%。
而在去年8月，中馬正式簽署了冷凍榴蓮整果的出口協議，預計在2019年底，其占比將會從5.8%飆升至三位數。據分析師分析，雖然中國向馬來西亞榴蓮表現出了巨大的需求，但價格不會因此推高，因為許多農民已經種植榴蓮，產量可能會增加。此外，馬來西亞還希望能擴大榴蓮產品的形式，比如冰淇淋和餅干，旨在吸引更多中國消費者的關心。
在馬來西亞榴蓮銷量因中國的準入而大舉推動之際，另一個東南亞國家卻“笑不出來”了，那就是泰國。在過去，泰國是中國榴蓮的主要來源地。2018年，泰國出口了近51.9萬噸的榴蓮，其中60%都賣到了中國。但在進口產品的檢驗標準被提高之后，泰國出口水果的難度便加大了。再加上馬來西亞如今對中國市場“蓄勢待發”，想必泰國未來的出口情況也將更困難。
話又說回來，2018年中馬雙方貿易額達到777.8億美元，中國依舊是馬來西亞最重要的貿易合作伙伴，還投資了不少基建項目。在這樣的基礎上，大馬希望繼續擴大對華的出口也不足為奇。
